About Me

Anyway, so all you have to do is double click on the downloaded script, and it will run! If you want to be fancy, you can copy the script to the following folder, and you will be able to run the script from iTunes itself -- YourHome: Library: iTunes: Scripts
YourHome is to be replaced by your username/nick used by your computer. If the Scripts folder does not exist within the iTunes folder you can simply create it and copy the script in there. Once done, you will see a script icon on the menu bar; click on that, and you will see the script listed there. Just click and run! The actual running of the script is as follows:

  • Put your Sansa e series mp3 player on MSC Mode (Settings > USB Mode > MSC Mode). PLEASE NOTE: I was unable to get consecutive connections in MSC Mode; i.e. I connected first time in MSC mode, and it worked perfect -- then I disconnect and connect again, and it didn't work. The work around is that after everytime you connect in MSC mode, after disconnecting, put it back in MTP mode, connect again, disconnect, put it back in MSC mode, and then connect. --- yes, you need to connect in MTP mode before connecting in MSC mode for some reason. You might have a better luck than I did though.
  • Once you see the player connected, start the script (double click it)
  • Select your player from the list (for me it was Sansa e270)
  • Select the playlists you want to sync with the player -- only the songs within the playlists will be on the player. Every other song will be erased. So please put all the songs to be transferred in playlists, and select the playlists to be transferred (you can select multiple playlists)
  • That's it! The script will run and copy the songs to your mp3 player as well as create playlists for the songs!!
  • After this process you should be all set. You should be able to view your songs from both, "Songs" menu as well as playlists menu.

PLEASE NOTE: Your mp3 player will play .mp3 files only; any .aac or .m4a etc files will need to be converted to .mp3 first and re-added to iTunes. Hopefully the next version will have a built-in convertor if I get time ... (college comes first! :) )
